The Overlanders Steakhouse , Alice Springs , Australia

A steak house in the heart of Australia. serving a real Australian outback steak, from cow to alligator. If I compare this restaurant with some of Australian best steak restaurant that I've tried so far (ex: rockpool and meat wine & co) I may say this restaurant is the best in Australia.

However I think that this restaurant cannot be categorized as Australian steak because the meat is glazed (sauce) and cook it, this makes the meat sweeter than the normal. Australian steak usually is cooked and after its being served we can choose the sauce to go with the steak. So the overlanders steak is more likely use American technique of BBQ-ing, this may explains why they earn a review from CNN as one of ultimate dining experience in Australia.

Nobu ,Melbourne, Australia

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa

Without a doubt Nobu is one of the best restaurant in the Melbourne. Expensive, stylish , tasty unique and hectic that how I would describe Nobu.

Nobu serve a modern style of Japanese food or same people call it fusion. Nobu fuse the Japanse traditional food with western touch. The sushi is served differently and it tasted different.

I been to Nobu about three or four time (not because I have a lot of money, it just happen I get invitation to go there). After I taste so many Nobu nice dishes, I get bored. In my opinion a restaurant with Nobu caliber they should introduce new menu every few month or they usually give daily special.

The atmosphere in Nobu it always hectic not only because of the diner but also because of their staff that seems always in the rush, gourmet traveler also address this issue.

Despite my and other's critique I believe Nobu is a restaurant to go to. Just to let you know it's pricy and the food serving style is Tapas (small), try to order 3 or 4 dish for one person. bon apetite
